B2B technology content tends to bifurcate. On one hand, you have hand-wavy generalizations that say nothing of consequence. On the other, you have deeply technical, operations-level content geared toward engineers and developers. What's frequently missing is a middle layer that bridges the gap. A middle layer where, coincidentally, a lot of business decisionmakers reside.
When McAfee sought to build support for its next-generation firewall solution, they wanted content that could resonate with executives, engineers and academics alike. To meet this requirement, we interviewed eight security experts to get their thoughts on Advanced Evasion Techniques, which are used to slip malicious payloads past network security undetected. These interviews were then combined with industry statistics and contextual copy to create a final report exploring what AETs are, why they pose a threat, and how to counter them moving forward.
